Went back home to Atlanta

Ansley and I went back to Atlanta for a couple of days, we were sad to leave daddy but excited to go back and stay with Nana and Pop-Pop :) We were very busy while we were there with baby showers and birthday parties. We also went to the good old Mountain Creek pool, Ansley didn't like the pool as much this time around. However, Madison loves the pool! We had a great time with Aunt Kelly, Uncle Brent and Cousin Madison too. We miss seeing everyone but it is nice to only be a couple hours away...

Here are some pictures from our stay at Nana and Pop-Pop's.

5 months old

Over the past 5 months Rob and I have enjoyed every minute with Ansley. She is just such a blessing and is a great combination of the two of us. We have finally decided that she looks like her daddy, we found baby pictures of Rob and they look just a like in the face :)

Today our pool opened and we decided to adventure out and see how Ansley would like the cold water. We thought we would only be there for 20 minutes, but she lasted 2 hours which was great! She absolutely loved the water and her float. She thought the handle on the float was a teether and she just sucked on it the whole time. Ansley had so much fun, when we got home she zonked out for 2 1/2 hours....

Sitting Pretty

We went to our first playdate on Monday and Ansley decided to show off for all the other babies who were older then her that she could sit up by herself, YEAH! I have been working with her but she just rather roll over. Ansley has become such a "wiggle worm". But since our playdate she enjoys sitting up without our help. She still tumbles over after a while but slowly getting the hang of it :)

First attempt at solids

Today, we tried rice cereal for the first time with Ansley. Surprisingly she did well, and didn't pitch a fit. She wasn't too sure of what to think about it all, but took a couple of bites and then decided she had enough and wanted her bottle....We think she enjoyed sitting up in the high chair like a big girl, then really caring too much about eating cereal.

Here are some pictures of our peanut eating her first solids.

Happy Mother's Day!

Our first Mother's Day, and it was a great one! Daddy & Ansley surprised me with gift certificates to some of my favorites places to shop. I get a day of shopping while daddy watches Ansley, YEAH!!! We began the day with church and then grabbed lunch and went to the park. We had a great time, and Ansley had her first swing. The bucket seat was a little big, but Ansley managed to get cozy in it and just watch everyone around her. It couldn't have been a better first Mother's Day thanks to Rob and Anlsey :)

She seems to amaze us

Ansley is just such a joy. Mommy and Ansley had a rough week while daddy was gone, but we managed. Ansley absolutely loves her exersaucer! She didn't know what to think of it a couple of weeks ago, but now she gets so excited in it and starts laughing with a high pitch squeal (this she just began doing) while bouncing up and down.... Ansley has also become a wiggle worm. She has even started rolling over, YEAH! She has rolled over a couple of times before but not intentionally. But now, she is rolling over from her back to her stomach often. We just can't believe how fast she is changing.

We found our feet :)

YEAH, we had visitors!

Aunt Kelly, Maddie, and Nana came to visit us last week. We had so much fun! We did a lot of shopping and just hanging around. We were hoping the nice weather was going to hold off so the girls could play in the blow-up pool we got, but it got very cold :(

We took Maddie and Ansley to get a group picture done, it came out so cute! It was quite humorus trying to get both of the them to smile at the same time. But we were so glad we were able to get it done. It will be a nice thing to continue doing as they grow up....
Thanks Aunt Kelly, Maddie, and Nana for visiting us. We miss you already!

Lounging

Here is Ansley's latest way to sit in her stroller. She loves to sit sideways, it looks so uncomfortable, but whatever makes her happy!
