6 Month Check Up

Ansley had her 6 month check up today and it went great! She has grown so much. She now weighs 17.2 lbs (jumped to the 75 percentile), and is 26 3/4 inches long (still in the 90 percentile).

We can't believe how fast 6 months have gone by. Ansley is now sitting completely on her own and is rolling all over the place. She is trying very hard to crawl. It will not be long before we are running around after her.

Staying with Nana and Pop-Pop

We went back to Atlanta for a while and had a great time. Nana and Pop Pop watched Ansley while Mommy was in Florida for a wedding and Daddy was in Dallas. We were worried about how Ansley would do without us since this was the first time neither of us had watched her, but she did great! Nana and Pop Pop had a ball with Ansley and were worn out with all the playing they did.

Happy Father's Day!

We first want to say, Happy Father's Day to Pop Pop and Pops, and ofcourse DADDY!

What a great day we had! It started off with Ansley sleeping through the night, we have had a rough couple of weeks with her at night. She has been waking up several times during the night and is refusing to take naps, so we were very happy to have a solid nights sleep. Maybe she was doing it for Daddy, since it was his day :)

We gave daddy his gift, a drill! And he asked if it was a hint to get the medicine cabinet now hung in our bathroom (maybe)? Ansley decided the ribbon from the gift was very interesting. Here is a cute picture of daddy's little girl! Happy Father's Day daddy.



We decided that we were going to go hiking with some friends we met in the neighborhood, Erin and Dave and thier 7 month old little girl, Hayden. We went to Stone Mountain, not the one in Georgia, but we have our own Stone Mountain about an hour north of us. It was very warm but we were all troopers, especially the girls. We had a great time, and ended the day with some ice cream from the country store, YUM!

Squash

We finally tried some veggies, and Squash was the first. As you can see from the pictures, Ansley did not like it too much. I was hoping after a couple of days she would change her mind but that didn't happen. After a couple of days we decided to try some sweet potatoes, she LOVED those! She would make this "oink" sound after every bite, too funny!

Birthday Parties and Baby Showers

While we were in Atlanta we went to our friend Courtney's baby shower. She is due in just a couple of weeks and isn't finding out what she is having. What a wonderful surprise she will have. Ansley had a great time visiting all of mommy's girlfriends at the shower and watching Courtney open up lots of fun stuff!

We also went to our friend Heidi Cay's 1st Birthday party! It was so much fun, lots of toys to play with and lots of other babies there to watch. Heidi Cay loved us singing Happy Birthday to her and even clapped for herself when we were done, too cute!
