Chelsea & Matt get MARRIED!!!

We just got back from a wonderful weekend in St. Simon's. Chelsea (CC) & Matt (Uncle Boo) got married! We are so excited for them and it was a wonderful weekend. Despite the heat, everything was absolutely beautiful and Chelsea was a gorgeous bride!

We headed down to St. Simon's on Thursday for the first of many parties. Thursday night the Dallas women hosted an "Isle Do" party on Sea Island at the Hunt's house. This was a party for the entire wedding party and parents (it was quite large since there was 13 groomsmen & 10 bridesmaids + their spouses). Ansley also came to this party and had a blast with Wade's little girl Haley Kate who is also 3. My mom and dad watched Aly for us at the house the Mautz's rented for all of us ... thanks Nana & Pop Pop!

Friday was the bridesmaid luncheon at one of Chelsea's family friend's house on Sea Island. It was nice and casual, we were to come in our swimsuits and cover-ups (sounds like my kind of luncheon). The food again was great. Ansley had so much fun in the pool, it wasn't too refreshing since it was 98 degrees outside but Ansley didn't seem to care at all. Chelsea was so sweet and described each of her bridesmaid's using an adjective (she said I was "thoughtful"). I thought it was a neat way to describe everyone.... While the girls enjoyed the luncheon and some pool time the boys were playing golf! They said it was miserably hot out there but they still had a blast.

We didn't have much time once we got back from the luncheon before we had to start getting ready for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Thank goodness my sister came into town to help us with the girls. It was definitely crazy trying to get everyone ready and to make sure I had enough food for Aly (still nursing). Kelly was great with entertaining Ansley, helping me get ready, as well as taking care of Aly at night for us. THANK YOU Kelly, we don't know what we would have done with out you!

Ansley did really good at the rehearsal. We decided it would be best if I just held her hand as we walked down the aisle. She was so cute and wanted to practice it a couple of times. We didn't put any pressure on her to go down the aisle. Plus, you never know what a 3 year old will do when it comes down to it. I just told her to hold my hand, smile, and to walk straight to daddy. My mom was then going to come up and bring her to her seat during the ceremony. After the rehearsal, Kel took the girls back to the house and we headed to Jekyll Island for the rehearsal dinner.

Mimi (Rob's mom) did an amazing job with planning the rehearsal dinner. The decorations were perfect, she added so many special touches. They had a video montage of Chels & Matt which is always fun to watch. Chris Craddick who was our videographer as well as Kelly & Brent's, did Chelsea & Matt's wedding weekend. He always does such a great job! After we ate, watched the video, the speeches began. I have NEVER laughed so hard at some of the speeches. The guys weren't too mean, just hysterical! You can really tell how much all their friends care for Matt & Chelsea. The night was just perfect!

And then the big day arrived! I had to be at the church by 3pm, Ansley needed to be there by 4:30 and Rob had to be there at 3:30. So it was a little crazy trying to get ready as well as making sure Ansley was ready. Thank you Kel for curling Ansley's hair numerous times for me and making sure she had everything ready to come to the church. Kel, also helped me with my hair. We took pictures for a while at the church. I was a little nervous on how Ansley was going to do with all the waiting around before the ceremony started, but she was on a high and was just so excited to be all dressed up. She kept saying she was "Cinderella" just like CC. It was really cute! .... Ansley surprised us all and did an awesome job with walking down the aisle. She held my hand and once she saw Rob she got super excited. She even stayed quiet during the ceremony (thanks to the goodies my mom had for her). We couldn't have been more pleased with the way Ansley acted the whole weekend. It was a very busy weekend, with no naps, and staying up late and she just did AMAZINGLY well!

Once the ceremony was over we headed over to the lighthouse where the reception was being held. Ansley had the time of her life and danced the night away. She wouldn't let anyone dance with her, it was hysterical! The only way we got her off the dance floor was to drink some milk and eat some cake :) The night was perfect and everything was beautiful. Chelsea and Matt had a great time! And now they are relaxing and enjoying some down time in Hawaii (super jealous)!

We love you Matt & Chelsea and want to thank you for letting us be apart of your special day!

Since I took over 200 pictures from the weekend, here are a couple of my favorites. I put all the others in a montage below. Enjoy!

Father's Day

I wanted to wish my Dad a Happy Father's Day.  I hate that I did not get to spend time with him on this day but glad we get to see him in a couple of days! Dad, you are an amazing father, and Pop-Pop to my girls. We love you and hope you had a wonderful day!!!

Pop Pop and all his girls (minus me)

Rob, I couldn't have asked for a better father to our girls. They absolutely worship you and I love to see their eyes light up when you walk into the room. You are the strength that holds our family together. Thank you for everything you do, and thank you for being you. We love you and hope you had a great father's day!

and then we had fun in the backyard...

Staying Cool...

In order to stay cool, we either go to the pool or we are playing in the backyard with some sort of water.  Last weekend, Rob and Ansley were in the backyard and Ansley was having a blast jumping into her blow-up pool (we have a much larger pool for the backyard but it is a pain to blow-up and drain the water out so we just use the smaller one...Ansley doesn't seem to mind at all) and I got some great shots. Ansley LOVES to be outside and would stay out there all day if she could. The only problem is the sun is directly on you in the afternoon, which makes it dreadfully hot.

Ansley & Aly

Since school has been out, the three of us have been spending a lot of time together. It has been hard at times trying to do our normal routine but we are managing. I brought the bumbo out about a week ago, and Aly loves it. She so much rather be sitting up instead of laying on her play mat or in her bouncy seat. It has made it a little easier to take care of Ansley because we can now put Aly in the bumbo and let her be part of the action as well...

Here are some pics of the girls together from the past two weeks

I think this one is funny because Ansley has a strong grip on Aly while giving her a kiss

Ansley reading to her sissy

Gotta love this one

much better :)

look who likes the bumbo?!?

Getting out of Charlotte

Last weekend we decided to get out of Charlotte and go to Athens for the weekend. It was just the 4 of us, and we had a great time! The trip there was not pleasant, Aly screamed for most of the way. Needless to say, when the kids went to bed I went out to Target to find her some pacifiers she would take. Thankfully, she is now taking the MAM paci occasionally but doesn't really prefer to have one. Ansley was the same way, but she was a much better passenger on trips then Aly is.

We hit up the pool at the Athens Country Club and really enjoyed ourselves. Aly slept most of the time so we got in some good pool time. Later that night we went to Blind Pig for dinner and then went and walked around campus so Ansley could run off her energy. How she had energy after playing at the pool for 3 hours and not taking a nap I have no idea?

Ansley loves to spray us with the squirt bottle... and I will not complain!
Ansley LOVES the fountain on North Campus

We got up on Sunday and packed our things up and headed back home. It was a nice break to just get away for a couple of days.... We definitely need to do it more often!
