Back in early October, we decided to get out and enjoy the nice, cool, fall weather we were having by going to Touch-a-Truck. Touch-a-Truck is a big funraiser for Addi's cure, raising money for lung cancer research in honor of Bo Johnson who lost his fight with lung cancer and never smoked a day in his life. Bo, was very well known in the Lake Norman area and they have been having this fundraiser for a couple of years now. Bo lost his fight with lung cancer this past December. His daughter's name is Addi and is around Ansley's age.
Touch-a-Truck is a little kids dream, especially for boys! Every kind of truck imaginable was there. The kids can climb inside of them, honk the horns, pretend to steer, etc. Ansley's favorite was definitely the police car and the firetruck where she was able to turn the siren on and ring the bell. We were glad we were able to attend this year and will definitely go again next year. It is sad to think that a young father lost his life to a type of cancer that usually takes the life of advid smokers. Here is the link to Addi's cure if you are interested in checking it out.... http://www.lkntouchatruck.com/content/AddisCure/tabid/438/Default.aspx

What a sweet and fun activity for families. You are right, such a shame that it took tragedy to create the event. So glad y'all went.
