Decorating Eggs...

We waited til the last minute this year to dye easter eggs (the day before, ha!). It is more work to get everything ready for the dying process to only last about 5 minutes :)

Easter Egg Hunt at the Nixdorf's

For Aubrey's 2nd Birthday, my friend, Stephanie, decided to have an Easter Egg Hunt Birthday Party. It was so fun and the perfect weather. All the kids had a blast, especially the big kids! Aly was so content with her two eggs :) I just sat her in the grass the whole time and she just watched everyone hunt for the eggs....

Mautz Family Vacation to Fripp Island

Mimi & Pop's took us all to Fripp Island for a much needed vacation. We were there the week before Easter which was great because it was nice and quiet! We had beautiful weather too. Some days were a little too cool/windy to get out on the beach in our swimsuits but we still soaked in every minute of the beach! Rob, Pop's & Uncle Boo enjoyed a couple of rounds of golf while we were there as well.

This trip had a lot of 1st for the girls. This really was the first time Ansley has been to the beach/ocean. We took her when she was 6 months old and she hated it! But this time, she was so EXCITED to be at the beach. She loved everything about it. She loved jumping the waves and just playing in the sand...but really the ocean was her favorite part. This was ofcourse Aly's first experience at the beach and she was beyond excited! Everytime we would put her down in the sand, she would just crab-crawl straight to the water. She would just sit there, and laugh hysterically when the water would come and splash up on her! It was so cute!!!

Ansley also got to fly her first kite :) We had a day where it was very windy so Rob thought it was the perfect time to fly Ansley's Barbie kite. It took them a while to finally get it up in the air but once they did Ansley love flying it.

Another first for Ansley was getting stranded on the island with Aunt CC. Aunt CC took Ansley for a golf cart ride and the golf cart ran out of gas while they were gone (Uncle Boo & Rob forgot to charge it when they were out the night before). I was dying laughing when Chels called me and told me what had happened. So Mimi & I loaded Aly in the car and went to find Aunt CC & Ansley. Ofcourse for the remainder of the trip Ansley would say "remember when the golf cart died when Aunt CC was driving me around" :). What a great memory!

We can't thank Mimi and Pop's enough for such a wonderful vacation. We made a lot of new memories and the girls had the best time!!! Ansley keeps asking when we can go back to Fripp Island? I told her she needs to bring that up with Mimi & Pops, HA!
