New Floors, YEAH!!!

So, we finally got rid of our linoleum flooring and awful laminate floors that ran from our foyer into our kitchen and into our powder room. This is one thing Rob and I have wanted to do since we bought the house. Well yesterday we got rid of the old floors and got new hardwood floors. It really looks great and makes the whole area look bigger.

Here are some pics

Easter Weekend in Athens

We went to Athens this weekend to spend Easter with Mimi, Pops, Matt & Chelsea. Daddy had Good Friday off of work so we headed down Friday morning so Rob could get 9 holes of golf in while Ansley napped & I had a chance to shop.

I am ready for our trip, I have Lily Mae in one hand and my Dr. Seus book in the other.... the other pic, I just thought Ansley's feet looked so sweet.

On Saturday we went to the Athens Country Club for thier Easter Egg Hunt. Ansley looked so cute in her purple dress, it is the same dress Maddie wore last year for Easter (it is very nice to get hand-me-downs).... But we were not sure how Ansley was going to do with all the other kids and picking out the eggs. Normally when she is around a lot of people she just sits and stares and takes it all in for a while. I took her down to a spot where she could get her own eggs without being trampled by the older kids. She definitely had alot of eggs to choose from, they had tons of eggs placed all over the driving range ..... Ansley did AWESOME with the whole experience! She had a blast picking up the eggs and putting them in her easter basket. Every time she put an egg in her basket she would clap for herself, it was too funny (do you think mommy & daddy clap for her alot when she does good things?)!

found a golf ball, does that count as an egg?

After the easter egg hunt the club had some animals for the kids to pet. There were horses, lamas, baby chicks, bunnies, and goats. Ansley actually loved petting the goat.... Once we were done with the animals we had a nice brunch inside the club. (Ansley had no problem going down for her afternoon nap, it had been a long morning).

The weather was so nice on Saturday, Mimi and I took Ansley to Memorial Park (while the guys were playing golf). We walked around the lake and saw some ducks, we saw a bear at the zoo (who knew there even was a zoo off of Lumpkin Road?), a bobcat, deer, and some birds. All in all, we had a wonderful spring day in Athens. It definitely makes you miss being in this town during the spring season!

Easter morning Ansley had a nice surprise from the Easter Bunny. He left her some goodies which she enjoyed. After we opened up our goodies we had a little egg hunt of our own at the Mautz's house. Ofcourse Ansley loved it, this just may be her favorite holiday :) We ended the morning with a nice brunch at the country club.

Thanks for a wonderful weekend Mimi and Pops!

Sailing Away

This is a picture of the painting I did for Ashley's (one of my best friends from childhood) little boy's nursery. I am really pleased with the way it came out!
Ashley, I can't wait to see it in Braeden's room! I hope you like it :)

This is the sketch I drew so I had something to go by for the painting

And here is the painting :)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day. We had a fun day, we got all dressed up in our green and met one of our friends, JC, for lunch down in Charlotte. We ate at a great cafe; ofcourse, Ansley didn't like what I ordered for her and decided to just eat my french fries (which she loved). It was great seeing JC and getting a chance to catch up!

First real attempt at eating with a spoon

Tonight was the first night Ansley really had shown interest in wanting to use a spoon and feed herself her yogurt. Amazingly, she did a great job! It was all over the place, but she enjoyed it :)

All done!

Playdate with the Brackett's

A couple of weeks ago (before we all got sick) we had a playdate with my sorority sister and her son, Fin. We had a great time visiting them in Charlotte. Fin is about 3 months younger then Ansley but he is at the age that they can really play well with eachother.

Thanks for having us over Caroline, we can't wait to have ya'll up here next time.
