HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ANSLEY ELIZABETH

We can hardly believe a year has gone by, and our baby girl is one! What an amazing year it has been. I know we have said this before, but Ansley has brought so much joy into our lives. We couldn't imagine our life without her!!!

I have put together a slide show of the past year. She has changed so much, and we look forward to the upcoming year and what is to come.

We celebrated Ansley's birthday in Athens. Nana, & Pop-Pop came up for lunch, birthday cake, and presents (Aunt Kelly, Uncle Brent and Maddie couldn't be there becuase they were on thier way to Michigan... We are really sorry to hear about Grandpa but we know he is in a better place, we are thinking about you.) ...

Ansley got a lot of great presents (puzzles, books, a grand piano, a slide, money, etc.). I made Ansley's milk free cake due to her dairy allergy and ofcourse she didn't want to have anything to do with it. Everyone can't wait til thier baby turns one and to watch them dig right into thier first cake, but not Ansley. She literally screamed as soon as her hands touched the icing. She is such a PRISS! We even tried giving her just one slice, thought maybe she was overwhelmed by the large cake, nope! So she ended up just eating cheerios for her birthday dessert. Maybe by the time we get to her birthday party she will enjoy cake.

Here are some pics. I didn't get a lot of the cake attempt since Rob was taking the pics.

The birthday girl!

I love my slide Nana & Pop Pop gave me

So happy when we sang Happy Birthday, and then it was time to eat the cake ...

all smiles once the cake was taken away

I finally got the grand piano, thanks Mimi & Pops

Mautz Family Christmas

After opening gifts at the Willson house, we headed to Athens for the Mautz Family Christmas. Thankfully we only had a short 1 hour drive, definitely beats sitting in an airport on Christmas day flying to Dallas :) This year was a great new Christmas tradition in Athens. The house was decorated beautifully! You would have never thought they just moved there less than a month ago.

Ansley got a cat nap in the car ride to Athens but was ready to open more gifts once she got settled. We are all thankful for the wonderful gifts we got and even more appreciative of the gifts Ansley received! One of her favorite gifts was a duck puppet that quacks, Miss Chelsea gave it to her :) .....

After a long, but exciting day, Ansley went to sleep so easily. I think she knows tomorrow is going to be a big day, we have more gifts and a very important day to celebrate!!!!

Thank you Gammie, Pops, Mimi, and Uncle Boo for all our gifts!

Willson Family Christmas

We loved being back in Atlanta for the holidays, it is always so nice to see everyone. We started Christmas Eve off with attending church (just mommy & Daddy went, we left Ansley with Pop-Pop & Nana). We then came home for a great dinner made by Nana and then we all headed to a Christmas Eve party at our family friend's house, which we have been doing since we were kids.

The girls dressed up pretty for the party

It was great visting everyone and showing off the girls in thier cute dresses. Aunt Kelly made the adorable dress Ansley is wearing (I don't know what we would do without her talent). We were only able to stay for a little while since the girls needed to get to bed so Santa would come the next morning. And we all knew it was going to be an early morning!

Christmas Day arrived very early (about 7:30) in the Willson house. Ofcourse, Pop-Pop had been up for almost an hour and already had the fire going :) This is the first year Aunt Kelly and Brent were not already there, but luckly they didn't have very far to come ....

The girls had an absolute blast! Ansley LOVED the grocery cart she got from Santa. She also loved all her little people collections. Christmas brings back so much excitement when you have kids and Ansley had a very nice Christmas, we are very fortunate to have such loving family!!!

Merry Christmas!

Maddie loved her giant stuffed giraffe

Thank you Nana, Pop Pop, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Brent and Maddie, and Grandmommy, we LOVE YOU!

Holiday Gathering at the Perrett's

For the past couple of years we have gotten together with the Carley's, the Riley's, the Perrett's, and the Wardrop's during Christmas, this year the Perrett's were brave enough to open up thier home to all of us. And there was a lot of us! Max, Lorie, Weaver & his fiance also joined us this year... we had a great time! Sorry Jen & Michael for the mess we made, but we really do appreciate you hosting the gathering. It is always great that we have managed to all find time to get together during such a busy holiday. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Santa made an early visit to the Mautz's

Santa is so busy this time of year, but decided to come to the Mautz house a little early; And we didn't mind at all! Ansley absolutely loved the Pottery Barn Chair she got, she jumped right in. She really didn't know what to do with all of her new things, and when it was all over she ended up sitting and playing with her $1 fake fruit, go figure!

i hate when mommy puts these stupid things on my head...

This is one of my favorite pics of Ansley, just sitting and drinking her milk
