a rainy, depressing day in Athens

We left for Athens the day after Thanksgiving to spend time with Rob's family and to ofcourse go to the game. Well I had told Rob if it was raining or even looked like it was going to rain I didn't want to go and would much rather sit on his parent's couch and watch the game on TV.... and that is just what I did. Basically the boys went to the game while Mimi, Chelsea (CC), Ansley (she actually napped for most of it) and I watched the game.
I still can't believe we lost to Tech. I was pretty sick of listening to everyone talk about it, thankfully it is over and there is nothing we can do about it. Hopefully there will be some changes next year and we will see some major improvement in our defense. Ok, enough about that, here is a couple of pictures from the day!
trying to get a picture for our christmas card, but I had no luck...I didn't like this one enough

And for some more of Ansley's silly smiles....can't you just tell she is sick of me taking pictures?

Thanksgiving in Atlanta

We had a great Thanksgiving in Atlanta with Nana & Pop-Pop (my parents) & my grandmother. We had a ton of food, which meant a lot of leftovers :) Too bad, we left the next day to head to Athens for the football (that is a another post)....

Rob and I have a lot to be thankful for this year. We have a beautiful daughter who is just the sweetest little girl, who loves to give lots of hugs & kisses! We couldn't imagine our life without her. She has strengthened our marriage and has brought a new outlook on life. We look at things so differently now that we are parents.

We are also thankful for our families! We are thankful to have their love and support, we don't know what we would do with out them.

Thanksgiving was a beautiful day in Atlanta. After we ate, Ansley had been dying to go to the park (which is across the street from my parents house) so Pop-Pop, Rob and I took her over there. She had the best time and was very sad to leave.

Here are some pics from our Thanksgiving. We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!

visting with high-school friends

After the Edwards' wedding, Ansley and I stayed in Atlanta while Rob went back to Charlotte to work for a few days before turning around again to come back to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. While Rob was in Charlotte, Ansley and I visited with some of my best friends from high school and thier mom's (Kelly & Ashley couldn't make it). Everyone now lives in different states, it is so wierd how we are all over the place(Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, Florida & Georgia) but we still find time to get together when we are all in town. I cherish these friendships dearly, we have been friends for almost 15 years!
This is the smile I get these days when Ansley really doesn't want me to take her picture

The Edwards Wedding

We headed back to Atlanta for the Edwards' wedding which was the weekend before Thanksgiving. Anne-Ross and Colin got married on November 22nd and it was such a beautiful wedding. Anne-Ross ended up having a stomach bug and was sick the whole weekend, she was a trooper and fought through it and was such a radiant bride! Anne-Ross & Colin, we hope you had a wonderful time on your honeymoon in Aspen :)

I want to thank Nana & Pop-Pop for watching Ansley the whole weekend. Since Rob was in the wedding, and all the festivities were in Midtown, we stayed at the Georgian Terrace with the wedding party.

tagged...

sorry we have been MIA lately, but we have been busy. I have a ton of pictures to post and as soon as I get to that I will have a lot of new posts. Until then......
I have been tagged by Angie, so I will do my part. I am suppose to post the 4th picture from the 4th folder in my picture files. Thankfully it is a cute picture of sweet Ansley when she was only a couple days old. I love this picture and call it "Strike-a-Pose". Ansley always slept like this and was so content :)

Halloween Weekend

****WARNING**** This is a long post, sorry but we had a very busy Halloween weekend.
It began on Thursday, Ansley and I headed to Athens to spend Halloween with Mimi since Rob, Pops, and Uncle Boo (Matt) went to the Ga/Fl game (I will not even mention anything about that depressing game on this post). I got to see my preggo friend, Laura (a.k.a Willis) on Thursday afternoon in Athens. She looks so great and we can't wait for the arrival of baby Dunaway in early February!
We had such a great time with Mimi and she spoiled us :) Friday, we went shopping downtown Athens to find a dress for me to wear to a wedding Rob is in in a couple of weeks. I just love Athens shopping, especially when it isn't crowded because all the students were in Fl.... Well I found a dress at this great little boutique (it is new and just opened 4 weeks ago), it is called "Flirt Fashions". The prices are between Encore and Hearry's prices, so very reasonable and such cute stuff! If you are ever in Athens and want to do a little shopping you have to check it out (it is right across the street from Encore) .

After Ansley's nap on Friday we got all dressed up for Halloween and started the night off with a Halloween party in Mimi's neighborhood. It was perfect, it had 2 large inflatables, a great swing set, and food. Ansley desperately wanted to be like the big kids and go down the blow-up slide, so I went down once with her and that was enough for me! After the party we put Ansley in her wagon and went Trick-or-Treating. I wasn't sure how Ansley was going to do since she was only 10 months old last year, but she absolutely LOVED the concept of getting candy from people! When someone only gave her one piece of candy she looked at them like they were crazy, it was hysterical! Ansley had such a blast, she lasted until 8 o'clock trick-or-treating. It was such a fun night, we are sad Daddy had to miss it! Ansley was the most adorable princess/ballerina ever!!!

enjoying some pizza, YUM!

as soon as we got back, she wanted her candy!

this is a funny sequence of photos, notice the mouth full of candy already...

As for Saturday, we decided to go to North Campus and walk around so I could try and get some pics of Ansley without a lot of people around. It was perfect, so nice and quiet and we walked everywhere. As soon as Ansley saw the stadium, she started saying "GeorGIA" over and over again... needless to say she was not happy when we left the stadium and had to walk back to the car up hill (thank goodness for a dum-dum from Halloween to persuade her to continue walking).

We want to thank Mimi for everything. It was a great weekend and I am glad we were able to have some girl-time while the boys were at the game :)
