Pop's turned 60 on April 29th and since this was such a big birthday, Mimi decided to throw him a surprise party at the Athens Country Club. In order to play along with everything, Pop's thought just Rob was coming into town with Matt to play golf with him for his birthday. He even called me to thank me for letting Rob come to Athens (he knows me too well and since Aly was only 4 weeks old, this would have been a big deal to leave me alone with the girls for the weekend after Rob just got back from being out of town due to work).
He played golf with his friend, Mr. McWhorter, and thought that Mimi and Mrs. McWhorter were just meeting them for dinner after his round of golf was over at the club. But little did he know that we were all waiting in a room Mimi had reserved. Mimi really pulled it off and we had a great dinner celebrating Pop's 60th Birthday.

Already 5 weeks...
I can't believe Aly is 5 weeks old! The time is flying by. We had her 4 week check-up appt last Monday and she is doing great! I knew she had gained weight and thought she was maybe just a little over 9 lbs (she was 8lbs 2 oz at her 2 week appt). Well, she definitely did not dissappoint and weighs 9lbs 15oz. I couldn't believe it!!! You can definitely tell in her face, it has gotten much more round and she is really filling out....
Here are her stats at 4 weeks:
Weight 9lbs 15oz (75% percentile)
Height 21 1/4 inches (75% percentile)
Head 14 1/2 inches (75% percentile)
And for comparison here are Ansley's at 4 weeks:
Weight 9lbs 1oz
Height 21 1/2 inches
Head 14 1/2 inches
It looks like Aly is measuring right around where Ansley was at the same age, except she has about 14 more ounces on her :)
I wanted to post some pics of Aly from the last 5 weeks, you will definitely be able to see how she has changed.

arts & crafts, baking, and playing golf with Mimi
My mom stayed the first week Aly was home, and then Mimi arrived and stayed for another week to help us out. While Mimi was here she kept Ansley busy :) They did some baking, which Ansley loved. First, they made chocolate peanut butter ritz crackers, YUM!!! They taste exactly like girl scout cookies and they are super easy to make. Ansley would spread the peanut butter on the ritz cracker, then mash another cracker onto it while Mimi dipped it in melted chocolate. You can definitely say this was a hit ....Next, they made rice krispy treats. I think Ansley's favorite part was licking the rice krispies off of the spoon :)
