We have been hit by the FLU!!! Yep, Ansley spent half the day today in the ER. She started running a high fever last night, slept awful, but thankfully the fever was down by this morning. But within hours of being up, she became very lethargic, had 102.7 fever, and even began jerking her body and was completely out of it. That really scared us! It is very unlike Ansley to lay around all day and then when she started jerking, we knew it was time to go to the ER. We had a dr. appt at 3:30 but couldn't make it until then. Sure enough we get to the ER and Ansley's temp read 103.4, she was burning up!
After lots of tests, and a very unhappy little girl (don't blame her), she tested positive for the flu. I am glad we know what she has, but there is nothing they can do for her. They just said to make sure she gets lots of fluids, rest, and to keep giving her Motrin & Tylenol to keep the temperature down. Please pray that we all don't end up with the flu as well (especially since I just got over a bacterial infection literally days ago).

Bye-Bye Bottle
Tonight we officially stopped giving Ansley her night-time bottle. Ansley was down to only getting an ounce at night, so we figured we might as well just stop. It went just like we had expected, she was not happy! But we think she was just really tired so that didn't make the situation any better. We did our normal night time ritual: bath, lotions, pj's, wrap in blanket, and instead of the bottle we tried to read to her, well she didn't want to have it so Rob just put her down. After about 5 minutes of crying off and on, she was out. So I think we can say, it didn't go too bad?
Just one week shy of Ansley turning 14 months old, we can now put away the bottles. YEAH!!!
Hope you are all having a great week :)

Monkey Joe's
Well today we took Anlsey to Monkey Joe's for the first time. We met some of our friends from the neighborhood there along with thier little girl Hayden. Ansley didn't know what to think of the place, and it took her a while to take it all in.... But once she did some walking around and checked the place out; realized the slides were loads of fun, she was happy! Not only is this place exhausting for kids, but Rob and I were pretty worn out from climbing up the slides with Ansley..... For $5 we will definitely go again. It is the best place to take a kid when we really want them to be tired for thier nap :)
Check out Miss. "Thing" walking around with her collar flipped up

Painted rooms
Master bath (the color looks like a different shade of green everytime you look at it)

Powder room (the color really looks more like it does in the first picture)

And this is just of the arrangement of pictures we did over my bed, so glad to finally have those up!

Busy Busy Week
We had a very busy week last week. The weekend began with Mimi and Pops coming into town, they watched Ansley while mommy and daddy went out to dinner to celebrate daddy's birthday. It was so nice to go to a nice dinner down in Charlotte, we went to Capital Grille. It was very yummy!!!
Pops headed back to Athens on Monday, and Mimi stayed for the rest of the week. She helped me paint two of our bathrooms, YEAH!!! Finally two rooms down, it looks so much better then the white walls. We also got a lot of my pictures hung on the walls. I will upload some pics when I get a chance. I couldn't have done it with out Mimi's help, it is so nice to have an extra set of hands and I KNOW Ansley had so much fun with Mimi. Thank you for all your help! We loved having you :)
Ansley and I dropped Mimi off in Athens on Friday on our way to Atlanta for the weekend. We were coming into town to say goodbye to Aunt Kelly, Madison and Uncle Brent. They left for Orlando today....We are very sad they have now officially moved back, but we will still talk tons and we are going to try and plan a trip down there before baby Wardrop arrives :)
