Uncle Boo (Matt) & Chelsea (CC) come to visit

This weekend Matt & Chelsea were able to come and visit. We were so excited to have them here for a weekend (We have been trying to plan something for quite some time, but with all our schedules it was hard to find a weekend that worked out).
Friday night we just grilled out and talked a lot. It took Ansley a little while to warm up to Uncle Boo & CC (CC - this is Chelsea's new name, we figured it would be easier for Ansley to say then Chelsea) but after playing outside and showing them her slide she was just fine.
On Saturday, Chelsea and I took Ansley to Birkdale (our outdoor shopping place, just like the Avenue's in Atlanta) to do some shopping while the boys played golf. Since it was such a hot, humid day, I decided to let Ansley play in the fountain. Ansley absolutely loved playing in the fountain! She was soaked by the time we left.

We were lucky enough our babysitter was available again this weekend, so she watched Ansley while Matt, Chelsea, Rob and I went to dinner and then out for drinks afterwards. We had a great time! .... We had a wonderful weekend and it was so nice to get to hang out with Matt and Chelsea without having to do a ton of running around. It seems when we are usually together, the family has a lot planned so we don't get to just sit and relax. Well we hope you guys were able to relax and we can't wait to see you soon!

Checking it out

having so much fun!

Pop-Pop comes to visit

My dad "Pop-Pop" was in the area for work so he was able to come visit us. It has been a while since we have seen him so it was great to have him here. It took a little while for Ansley to warm up to my dad, but after playing outside, she was ready to be social. Ansley also called my dad, "Pop-Pop" for the first time. This is huge considering she just finally called me mama and still doesn't say it on a regular basis. I know that made my dad's day :)

Dad, thanks for coming to visit, and thanks for taking us to dinner! We love you and can't wait to see you again in a couple of weeks.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty busy weekend for just staying around here. We had some friends over for dinner on Saturday night with their kids, everyone had a great time and the kids played great together. We forgot about all the toys left outside, when we woke up on Sunday, this is what our backyard looked like. It was pretty comical!

Our friend Treytonsweet ElizabethEthan & Ansley (I love this picture)we didn't even ask them to sit together, they just were :)

We ventured to the pool on Sunday, not sure of how Ansley was going to take it since it has been a year since she had been a pool. Plus, she was so young last year, she didn't really care if the water was cold. Well, Miss Princess absolutely hated the water. She was all about going into it as soon as we got there but screamed when she got in. I have to admit, was pretty cold. But after some time and getting to warm up to the water she had a great time. She also just loved taking laps around the pool walking around with her snack trap and sippy cup. We definitely do not get to sit down anymore, but that is okay. At least she now enjoys the pool.....

Sunday night Rob and I got a babysitter for Ansley and had a nice dinner just the two of us. We went to a great restaurant we had been wanting to go to for quite some time. We are really going to try and get out at least once a month just the two of us. Ansley seems to really do well with the babysitter after the initial scream when we leave her.

As for today, we headed back to the pool. Ansley just walked around the pool checking everyone out. It is funny because she gives them this stare like it is her pool and she has to approve of them :) But all in all it was a great day relaxing at the pool.

We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day and weekend!

Greenville, SC

Rob has been in Greenville all week for training, and since I HATE to stay by myself, Ansley and I decided to take a little trip to see him. It is only an 1 hour and 45 minutes from our house so it was a very easy drive. I have never been to Greenville before, so Rob took us to the downtown area. It is so cute and quaint! Lots of restaurants and shops :) They have this great park we walked to called Great Falls Park, and there is ton of grassy areas to hang out and watch the water falls. You probably would never imagine to see water falls in the middle of a downtown area but it was beautiful!

We only stayed one night and I thought about taking Ansley to the Greenville Zoo since it was so close by, but unfortunately, her Eczema is so bad I didn't want it to get worse by being outside in the sun....so we just headed home.

But here are some pics I took while we were at the park.
So, let's talk....

Trip to Orlando = Daddy had Ansley duty!

I left on Thursday for Orlando to see Kelly, Brent and Madison, and my mom met me in Orlando. It was nice to have a weekend away and a chance to see them all without running around after Ansley. Madison just cracks me up! She is talking non-stop and saying the funniest things. I just look at her and laugh, she has so many facial expressions :) I think I came back more exhausted then if I was here running around after Ansley. Madison doesn't like to be picked up because she just wants to run, run, run! Now, I know why Kelly looks so good being almost 7 months pregnant.

We had a busy, but fun weekend. We went to the beach, shopped, and went to a charity golf tournament in honor of my sorority sister's little girl, Faybree Neufeld, who has a rare form of lung disease. What an amazing thing to attend, it just gave me the chills to see all the people who came out to support thier family. There was 180 golfers, WOW! And everyone had on "Team Faybree" shirts. I got Madison a pink tank top with "Team Faybree" embroidered on it. It looked so cute on her. The tournament was a huge success!
I got home late Sunday night and was very excited to see Ansley and Rob. Thanks Kel, Brent and Maddie for the hospitality, I had a great time and can't wait to come back down when Hailey arrives :)
While I was in Orlando, Rob had Ansley duty. They had lots of fun, went on some runs (I found a great jogging stroller at a consignment store for $75), went to the park and over to one of our friend's house to hang out....
So I have to tell a funny story, Rob called on Friday night and I was asking about the day, and he said they ran some errands and were listening to Friday afternoon music (you know how radio stations always have fun music on Friday afternoon, really upbeat!), well Rob at one point looked back at Ansley and she was sitting in her car seat with her fingers plugged into her ears because she didn't like the music, HA! I would have died to see that! I wish I had a picture but hopefully you can imagine. I told Rob, not everyone likes the music he listens to, and it looks like Ansley definitely doesn't :)
Here are some pics from my trip to Orlando and a couple Rob took of Ansley playing at the park. Hope you all had a great weekend!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

First, I want to thank two special people:

To Nana (my mom),

Happy Mother's Day! I am sorry we couldn't be there to celebrate this day with you. You deserve to have a wonderful day becuase you are an amazing mother. I know I may not tell you that enough, but I should! I wouldn't be the mother I am if it wasn't for you. I have learned so much from you. Thank you for always loving us and teaching us. You are an amaizing mom and I am so lucky to have you as my mom. I love you!

To Mimi (Rob's mom),

Happy Mother's Day to you as well! I couldn't have ask for a better mother-in-law. You have always welcomed me into your family from day one which I can't thank you enough for. I have felt so comfortable with you from the start and enjoy our talks and common interests. Thank you for being such a wonderful mother-in-law.

Love,
Jennifer "Jenni" "Jeff"

As for my Mother's Day, it has been great! We weren't able to do too much since it rained most of the day and Ansley has had a fever for 2 days, so we weren't able to go to church. But that was ok with me, becuase I was able to spend it with the 2 people I love :) Ansley & Rob got me Adobe Photoshop for Mother's Day, YEAH! I know that may not seem like alot to some people but I have been wanting this program for some time. I have been playing around with the program all afternoon. It isn't as easy as I had hoped it would be, but hopefully I will figure it out soon.
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day and I want to also wish the mother's-to-be a wonderful day as well!

Roses

So I planted 2 rose bushes last year, and they have just done great! I do NOT have a green thumb, but if I can grow rose bushes, anyone can :) I am pretty proud of how well they have done. I even bought another one this year to replace my azaela's that got killed by the drought & heat last year.

Davidson Town Day

Today, Davidson was having thier annual town day with lots of games, goodies, and even a train ride. Ansley seemed to enjoy herself, she was a little too young to do most of the things but loved the train ride as well as the bouncy slide. We know she will really enjoy all the festivities next year.

Once we finished checking everything out, we decided to walk down to the college (Davidson College). It is so nice, lots of green grass for Ansley to just play and walk in. I was able to get some good shots of her playing with Rob. Rob was running around and then would leap over her, she thought it was the funniest thing ever.

Can't figure out if Ansley found her shadow, or looking at the gold fish she dropped.... if I had to guess, probably the gold fish :)
