More Snow & V-Day

Ansley had a great time at her school Valentine's Day party on Friday. She came home on the biggest sugar high!!! Not to mention, she had a ton of candy and treats from all her friends. They handed out Vday cards to all their classmates. Instead of buying Valentine cards for Ansley to hand out, I made rice-krispy treat lollipops and turned them into butterfly's. They came out really cute!!!

For the past week they had been talking about us getting more snow. But this time it was suppose to go south of the city and we were not going to see any. And I have to admit, I was happy about that. There was still snow around in some places from the 6 inches we got two weeks ago. Well, the weatherman was not right and the snow started falling around 4pm on Friday and didn't stop. It was beautiful but I was just praying we weren't going to be stuck inside all weekend. We ended up with over 2 inches of snow. Thankfully we didn't get ice like last time. It was the perfect snow for sledding. My mom had brought us a sled last weekend when she was in town and we definitely put it to use. Ansley would only ride in it if Rob was pulling her around but wouldn't actually sled down the hill in it. But mommy & daddy did. I am glad none of the pictures of me sledding came out, it was pretty comical watching a 33 week preggo mom sledding, HA! ..... By Saturday afternoon the snow had mostly melted. I would love to say this is the last snow we are going to get for the year, but I am not too sure about that. We have already had 3 big snowfalls since December.
Here are some pictures from us out in the snow. Hope you enjoy!!!

watching daddy sled ... all Ansley wanted to do was go home and build a snowman I think Rob was the most excited about sledding :)Ansley loved her little snowman... she was really into building it this time

A Baby Shower

This past Saturday, two of my really good friends threw a baby shower for me. My sister and mom were able to come into town which I really appreciated! I am so glad they were able to meet a lot of my friends whom they hear me talking about often :) Jenna and Laura did such a wonderful job with the shower and everything was absolutely beautiful!!! It was a small shower since a lot of people couldn't make it, but I think it really was perfect, it allowed all of us to be able to sit and hang out in the same room....

I can't thank Jenna and Laura enough for throwing me a shower for Aly. She got a lot of nice gifts and is already spoiled!!! We can't wait, only 8 more weeks to go (hopefully less) before we get to meet baby Aly :)

Happy 31st Birthday Rob

Rob's 31st Birthday was Thursday, the 4th of February. We started the celebration a day earlier with a nice dinner at the Prickly Pear. It is a modern upscale Mexican restaurant and it was great! The service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry since we had a sitter for Ansley :)
Then on Thursday, Ansley and I made Rob a birthday cake, a jerk chicken dinner, opened birthday cards and finished the night with some yummy cake!!! Ansley had so much fun decorating the cake for her daddy, she was pretty precise in where she put the sprinkles. It was really cute!
Rob/daddy, we hope you had a wonderful birthday!!! We love you and appreciate everything you do for us.

7 inches...

7 inches is what we got in snowfall on Friday night! It is crazy, I haven't seen this much snow since we had the blizzard in Atlanta ages ago. It started coming down fast around 4 pm on Friday afternoon and didn't stop until sometime in the middle of the night. We woke up Saturday to sleet which lasted most of the morning. We never got out of the 20's yesterday so we were definitely homebound this weekend. Ansley got out in the snow for a little while yesterday but it was still too soft to make snowballs or a snowman. So today, after very cold temps last night the snow was more firm and we made our first official snowman, or snowlady :) .... Unfortunately, we didn't get to do any sledding, I tried to buy a sled earlier in the week and they were sold out everywhere (I guess that is what I get when the weatherman has been talking about a big snowfall coming for the last week). Thankfully, Nana picked us up one and is bringing it next weekend when she comes to visit, so we will be ready for when we get snow again!

It was such a pretty scene on Friday with the snow falling ....

and her birthday continues...

Yes, Ansley's birthday has lasted forever! Ofcourse she loves it. Since everything was so crazy at school during the month of December, I told Ansley's teachers it would be easier to celebrate her birthday when we got back to school in January. So I made cupcakes for Ansley's class and they celebrated her birthday on Wednesday :)

Here are a couple of pictures Ms. Sherry, one of Ansley's teachers, sent me. I thought they were cute!
